Forward/Reverse Parking Distance Warning is a supplemental system that is designed to assist the driver by chiming if any object is detected within the sensing area to the front and rear of the vehicle when moving forward or backing up at low speed.
Press button
(LED illuminated). PDW is also activated when the ignition is ON and the gear shift is moved into R (Reverse).
To deactivate PDW, press Reverse/Parking Safety button
(LED not illuminated).
Parking Distance Warning Auto On:
To enable, on the Infotainment System, go to SETUP, VEHICLE, DRIVER ASSISTANCE, and select PARKING DISTANCE WARNING AUTO ON.

When engaged, Forward/Reverse Parking Distance Warning (PDW) is not a substitute for proper and safe backing-up procedures. Always drive safely and use caution when moving the vehicle forward or in reverse. Forward/Reverse Parking Distance Warning (PDW) may not detect every object in front of or behind the vehicle.
