HIGHWAY DRIVING ASSIST (HDA)*

Highway Driving Assist 3 (HDA3) is designed to adjust the speed of the vehicle when driving on limited/controlled access highways/freeways.

Highway Lane Change Assist may assist in changing lanes, if the driver has turned on the turn signal and if the system detects the lane change is possible.

When HDA3 is activated and the proper conditions are met, the Instrument Cluster indicator will illuminate green. If proper conditions are not met, HDA3 will be in standby mode and the HDA3 indicator light will illuminate gray.

When in operation, and if both lanes are detected, the Instrument Cluster will show the lanes illuminated white and the HDA3 indicator illuminated green .

HDA3 will operate when these conditions are met:

  • Driving on the main road of certain highways, and turning on Highway Driving Assist by pressing the Driving Assist button
  • Entering the main road of certain highways while Lane Following Assist and Smart Cruise Control are operating

HDA3 Settings:

  • To enable HDA3: press the SETUP key/button on the Infotainment System, VEHICLE, DRIVER ASSISTANCE, DRIVER CONVENIENCE, and select HIGHWAY DRIVING ASSIST
  • Select HIGHWAY LANE CHANGE ASSIST to activate this feature
  • Warning Methods: To adjust the Warning Volume settings, go to VEHICLE SETTINGS, DRIVER ASSISTANCE and under WARNING METHODS, you can adjust the Warning Volume, activate Haptic Warning and Driving Safety Priority.
