NAVIGATION-BASED SMART CRUISE CONTROL (NSCC)*

While Smart Cruise Control is operating, NSCC may automatically adjust the vehicle speed when it detects a curved road ahead and when it receives road information from the navigation system.

When NSCC is on and operating and the vehicle is driving on limited/controlled access highways, the NAV icon will illuminate white on the Instrument Cluster LCD.

Highway Curve Zone Auto Slowdown is set, and NSCC is activated when SCC is turned on while driving on the highway. When NSCC detects a curve ahead, activates, and reduces the vehicle speed, the NAV icon will turn green. When the vehicle passes the curved road, the vehicle may return to its previously set SCC speed.

Reminders:

  • NSCC requires an active navigation subscription
  • NSCC is only available on certain controlled access roads and highways
  • Some driver assistance systems use a Haptic Warning, which alerts the driver by
gently pulsing the steering wheel when certain conditions are detected

Certain features are available on select Kia models.

When engaged, NSCC is a supplemental system and is not a substitute for safe driving. It is the

responsibility of the driver to always check the speed and distance to the vehicle ahead.
