POWER LIFTGATE*

Opening from Outside the Vehicle:

To open Power Liftgate automatically, press the Rear Hatch Release button on exterior of the Liftgate.

Automatically close by pressing the Power Liftgate Close button Opening from Inside the Vehicle:

Open: Press and briefly hold the Power Liftgate Open/Close buttonto automatically open the Liftgate.

Close: Press and hold the button until liftgate is completely closed. If the button is released while closing, the power liftgate will stop and a warning chime will sound.

Smart Key:

To open the Power Liftgate, press and hold the Liftgate button until the Liftgate begins opening. Press and hold to close, and until the liftgate is closed completely. If button is released while closing, the liftgate will stop and a chime will sound.

Reminders:

  • Pulling the Rear Hatch upward by the handle or pressing the button a second time will interrupt the automatic opening of the Power Liftgate
  • When closing, be mindful of any objects or persons
Power Liftgate Opening Height Adjustment:

To set the opening height in Vehicle Settings, press the SETUP key/button on the Infotainment System, select VEHICLE, DOOR, then POWER LIFTGATE OPENING HEIGHT. Select the desired option.

To manually set the opening height, do the following steps:

  1. Position the liftgate manually to the preferred height
  2. Press and hold Power Liftgate Close button more than 3 seconds
  3. A system beep will sound twice indicating the height setting has been saved.

The liftgate will then open to the set height. To change setting again, repeat steps 1-3.

Reminders:

Ensure objects and people are out of the way when operating the power liftgate.
