REAR VIEW MONITOR (RVM)*

RVM is a supplemental system that displays the view behind the vehicle through the Infotainment System screen while the vehicle is in Reverse.

While gear shift is in P (Park) or N (Neutral), to turn RVM on, press the Parking/View button .

Camera Settings:

To adjust, press the gear icon or press SETUP, VEHICLE, DRIVER ASSISTANCE, PARKING SAFETY and CAMERA SETTINGS.

Quick Tips:

  • To adjust the WARNING VOLUME: Press the SETUP button to go to VEHICLE SETTINGS on the Infotainment System. Press VEHICLE, DRIVER ASSISTANCE, and under WARNING METHODS, you can turn PARKING SAFETY PRIORITY on or off 
  • Adjusting the Warning Methods or Volume will adjust settings for other driver assistance systems

Reminders:

  • Rear View Monitor is enabled by default when the ignition is cycled
  • Through normal use and after inclement weather or washing, the rear camera may become dirty or obstructed. Use a clean, microfiber cloth to remove any dirt, debris or spots that may have accumulated on the lens
  • When Parking Safety Priority setting is enabled in the Warning Methods, and when the Rear View Monitor is active, the volume will be lowered on all audio modes

When engaged, RVM is not a substitute for proper and safe backing-up procedures. Rear View Monitor may not display every object behind the vehicle. Always drive safely and use caution when backing up.
