INTELLIGENT SPEED LIMIT ASSIST (ISLA)*

Intelligent Speed Limit Assist is designed to use information from the detected road signs and the navigation system data to inform the driver of the detected speed limit and can help maintain the speed within the speed limit.

When ISLA is on and active, the speed limit information will display on the Instrument Cluster of the detected speed limit . When driving at a speed higher than the displayed speed limit, the speed limit is displayed in red.

Quick Tips:

  • Set the offset to “0” if you want the vehicle to travel at the posted speed limit when ISLA is on
  • To adjust the WARNING VOLUME: Press the SETUP button to go to VEHICLE SETTINGS on the Infotainment System. Press VEHICLE, DRIVER ASSISTANCE, and under WARNING METHODS, you can adjust WARNING VOLUME, and turn HAPTIC WARNING and DRIVER SAFETY PRIORITY on or off
  • Adjusting the Warning Timing and Warning Methods or Volume will adjust settings for other driver assistance systems

Reminders:

  • Vehicle must be parked and in a safe location to change the speed settings
  • Additional information may be displayed if additional road sign information is detected.

This feature may not be available on all Kia models. 

When engaged, these systems are not substitutes for safe driving and may not always warn the driver if the vehicle is driven outside of its lane. Always drive safely and use caution. ISLA is a supplemental function. Do not solely rely on this system and always pay attention to the road and its conditions. Speed Limit Assist operates when the posted speed limit is 20 mph or higher.
