HOOD RELEASE LEVER AND LATCH

Opening the Hood:

Pull the Hood Release Lever to unlatch the Hood
In the front of the vehicle, lift the Hood slightly, push the secondary Latch to the left inside of the Hood’s center and lift the Hood
It will open by itself after it has been raised about half way

(Lever located on Driver side kick panel)

(Located inside of Hood's center)

Reminders:

Open the Hood only after turning the engine off, on a flat surface, with the gear shift in P (Park) position and setting the parking brake
While lowering and closing, keep hands away from under the Hood

Closing the Hood:

Lower the Hood about halfway by pressing the front center of the Hood and then press down to securely lock in place.

Make sure the hood is securely closed before driving.
While lowering and closing, keep hands away from under the Hood
Open the Hood only after turning the engine off, on a flat surface, with the gear shift in the P (Park) position and setting the parking brake
