TOUCH SENSOR-TYPE DOOR HANDLES

The Touch Sensor-Type Door Handles have sensors on the inside of the exterior door handles that detect the touch of your fingers to unlock the driver’s door, all doors and liftgate.

Locking / Unlocking Door

To Unlock:

With the Smart Key fob within proximity, touch the inside of the door handle .
All doors and Liftgate will unlock. Then pull the handle to open door. The hazard lights will blink twice to indicate that all doors and Liftgate are unlocked.

To Lock:

With the Smart Key fob within proximity, with all doors and liftgate closed, touch the sensor button on the outside of the door handle.
All doors and the tailgate will lock. The hazard lights will blink once to indicate that all doors and liftgate are locked.

2-Press Unlock Feature

With 2-Press Unlock enabled, touch the inside of the exterior door handle once to unlock the driver’s door. If you touch the inside of the door handle again, all doors and Liftgate will unlock.

To enable 2-Press Unlock:

Go to the Vehicle Settings in the Infotainment System.
Press SETUP and then VEHICLE
Press DOOR, then check 2-PRESS UNLOCK

Reminders:

The sensor button will only operate when the Smart Key is within 28-40 inches from the outside door handle

If the outside door sensor button is pressed, the doors will not lock and a chime will sound if any of the following occurs:

The smart key is in the vehicle
The ENGINE START/STOP button is in the ACC or in the ON position
Any door, except the Liftgate, is opened

This feature may not be available on all Kia models.
