Lane Following Assist (LFA)*

Lane Following Assist (LFA) is designed to help ensure that the vehicle stays centered in its lane by monitoring the detected lane markings ahead and adjusting the steering. The Instrument Cluster indicatorwill initially illuminate white or green when turned ON.

It will remain white when LFA does not detect the lane markers. When LFA detects the lane markers and can assist the steering, the LFA icon will illuminate green .

Hands-off Warning: If the driver takes their hands off the Steering Wheel for several seconds, a warning message will appear on the Instrument Cluster. If hands on the Steering Wheel are not detected continually, LFA will be turned off with additional emergency warning.

LFA Settings:

Press the Lane Driving Assist button to turn LFA on or off. LFA will operate only when these conditions are met:

Quick Tips:

  • The Warning Volume can be adjusted in the Vehicle Settings by pressing Setup, Vehicle, Driver Assistance. Then press Warning Method.
  • Adjusting the Warning Timing and Warning Methods or Volume will adjust settings for other driver assistance systems.

Reminders:

  • LFA is not a substitute for safe and proper driving. Always drive safely and use caution
  • If LFA is activated in the Vehicle Settings menu and when combined with SCC and the ignition is cycled, LFA returns to its previous state, on or off. If using the Steering Wheel LKA button, then LKA defaults to off
  • The images and colors in the Instrument Cluster may differ depending on the cluster type or theme selected from the settings menu
