Android Auto™ App Download/Setup

Wireless Connection setup for Android Auto™:

Press the SETUP key on the Infotainment System.

  1. Press the SETUP button on the Infotainment System
  2. Press DEVICE CONNECTIONS, select PHONE PROJECTION, select ANDROID AUTO OPTIONS and then ENABLE ANDROID AUTO
  3. Press PHONE PROJECTION, then ADD NEW
  4. Press SETUP, select DEVICE CONNECTIONS, select DEVICE CONNECTIONS and select ADD NEW
  5. Make sure Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® are activated on the smartphone and select the vehicle system from the list of searched Bluetooth® devices
  6. Confirm that the verification codes on the smartphone and the Infotainment Screen match, and approve the connection from the smartphone
  7. When connecting to Android Auto™ for the first time, check the popup window displayed on the system and press YES. Agree to enable Android Auto from the smartphone
  8. Press Android Auto™ from the home screen to see the available apps

Cable Connection setup for Android Auto™:

1. Press the SETUP button on the Infotainment System

2. Press DEVICE CONNECTIONS, select PHONE PROJECTION, select ANDROID AUTO OPTIONS and then select ENABLE ANDROID AUTO

3. Connect the Android™ device with the vehicle’s USB port using the manufacturer’s cable provided with your phone

4. From the vehicle’s home screen, select the Android Auto™ button, where you’ll see all the Android Auto™ supported apps

5. Press the SETUP key on the Infotainment System

6. Press DEVICE CONNECTION, select Android Auto™ and then select ENABLE ANDROID AUTO. Review all terms, conditions and requests on the head unit and phone, and, if you agree, accept them in order to use Android Auto™

7. Connect the Android™ device with the vehicle’s USB port using the manufacturer’s cable provided with your phone

8. When connecting to Android Auto™ for the first time, check the pop-up window displayed on the system and press YES. Agree to enable Android Auto™ from the smartphone

9. From the vehicle’s home screen, select the Android Auto™ button, where you’ll see all the Android Auto™ supported apps

Quick Tips:

If Android Auto™ randomly disconnects:

  • Ensure the USB cable is certified by the phone manufacturer for both power and data
  • Clean the phone’s port, which the USB cable connects to, with disposable compressed air
  • The phone should not be disturbed while driving as this can cause a disconnection at the phone’s USB port
  • Visit the phone manufacturer’s website for Android Auto™ concerns

Reminders:

  • Android Auto™ compatibility requirements for connection: OS Android™ 9.0 or higher, phone manufacturer’s USB cable and data plan with applicable feature(s)
  • Always update your phone to the latest operating system release
  • Android Auto™ runs on your smartphone cellular data service. Normal data rates will apply
  • Wireless Android Auto™ system only works for certain Android™ models. Use the manufacturer’s USB cable when wireless feature is not available
