The automatic transmission has 8 forward speeds and one reverse speed. The individual speeds are selected automatically, depending on the balance between fuel economy and power.

For smooth operation, depress the brake pedal when shifting from N (Neutral) to a forward or reverse gear. To shift, press the button while moving the lever into the desired gear.

The indicator in the Instrument Cluster displays the shift lever position when the Engine Start/Stop button is in the ON position.

Manual mode can be selected at any time, whether the vehicle is stationary or in motion, by moving the shift lever from D (Drive) to the manual position .

To return to normal driving, move the shift lever back to D (Drive).

In manual mode, move the shift lever forward or rearward to change gears . Gear shifts can be performed while the accelerator pedal remains depressed.

• **Up (+): **Push the lever forward once to shift up one gear.
• Down (-): Pull the lever backwards once to shift down one gear.
