REAR CROSS-TRAFFIC COLLISION-AVOIDANCE ASSIST (RCCA)*

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA) is designed to help detect vehicles approaching from the left or right side of the vehicle while reversing . If a potential collision is detected, RCCA may provide visual and audible warnings. Warning indicators may illuminate in the outside rearview mirrors , and warning messages may appear in the Instrument Cluster and Infotainment System .

If RCCA detects an increased risk of collision, it may automatically apply the brakes to help reduce vehicle speed and potentially lessen the impact of a collision.

RCCA is designed to operate when:

Quick Tips:

  • To adjust the WARNING VOLUME: Press the SETUP button to go to VEHICLE SETTINGS on the Infotainment System. Press VEHICLE, DRIVER ASSISTANCE, and under WARNING METHODS, you can adjust WARNING VOLUME, and turn HAPTIC WARNING and DRIVER SAFETY PRIORITY on or off
  • Adjusting the Warning Timing and Warning Methods or Volume will adjust settings for other driver assistance systems

Reminders:

  • When vehicle power is cycled, RCCA will remain in the previous state
  • When a vehicle is approaching within the sensing range and traveling faster than 3 mph, the RCCA system will show a warning
