REVERSE PARKING AID FUNCTION

When the gear shift lever is moved into R (Reverse), the selected outside rearview mirror will rotate downward to aid in reverse parking.

To turn ON the Reverse Parking Aid Function, move the outside rearview mirror switch to either the L (Left) or R (Right) mirror position . The selected mirror will move downward when the vehicle is in Reverse.

To turn OFF the Reverse Parking Aid Function, move the switch () to the center position.

The outside rearview mirror(s) will automatically return to their original position when:

Adjusting the Reverse Parking Aid Angle

The downward angle of each outside rearview mirror can be adjusted by:

  1. Shifting the vehicle into P (Park) and select the mirror to adjust using the L or R switch ()
  2. Press the brake pedal and shift into R (Reverse).
  3. After the mirror moves downward, use the mirror adjustment switch () to set the desired angle.
  4. Shift out of R (Reverse) and return the mirror switch () to the center position to save the new setting.

Repeat the procedure for the opposite mirror.

Reminders:

When the outside rearview mirror buttons are not depressed, the Reverse Parking Aid Function will not operate and the outside rearview mirrors will not rotate downward.

This feature may not be available on all Kia models.
