SEA may warn passengers from opening their door by sounding an audible warning, a warning light in the sideview mirror
and a warning on the Instrument Cluster
when a vehicle is detected, approaching from behind, after your vehicle has stopped. SEA is designed to keep the doors closed if the system detects a vehicle approaching the blind spot area.
When the electronic child safety lock is ON
and Safe Exit Assist detects an approaching vehicle from the rear, the rear doors may remain locked even if the electronic child safety lock button is pressed.

The setup of SEA will be maintained, as selected, when the ignition is cycled.
