Lane Following Assist is designed to help ensure that the vehicle stays centered in its lane by monitoring the detected lane markings ahead and vehicles on the road. The Instrument Cluster indicator will initially illuminate whitewhen turned on. It will remain white when LFA does not detect the lane markers. When LFA detects the lane markers and can assist the steering, the LFA icon will illuminate green .

If the driver removes their hands from the steering wheel for several seconds, the system may use the in-cabin camera* and steering input sensors to detect hands-off driving and display a warning message on the instrument cluster along with an audible alert. If hands are not detected continuously, Lane Following Assist (LFA) will turn off and provide an additional warning message and an emergency audible warning.

• Press the Lane Following Assist button briefly to turn LFA on or off 
• To adjust the Warning Volume: Go to Vehicle Settings in the Infotainment System by pressing the SETUP button. Select Vehicle, Driver Assistance, Warning Methods, then Warning Volume. You can also select Driving Safety Priority to temporarily decrease the audio volume while FCA is operating.
• LFA will operate only when these conditions are met:
  – LFA detects both sides of the lane markers the vehicle is traveling in
  – The vehicle is traveling slower than 120 mph
