Exterior Auto Flush Door Handle Operations*

The Touch-Sensor Type Door Handles have sensors on the front driver and passenger side door handles that detect the touch of your fingers to unlock all doors and liftgate.

To lock: With the Smart Key fob within proximity, with all doors and liftgate closed, touch the sensor button on the front driver side door handle to lock all doors. The hazard lights will blink once to indicate that all doors and liftgate are locked.

To Unlock:

  1. With the Smart Key nearby, touch the sensor on the driver side door handle once and it will unlock the driver’s door. The hazard lights will blink twice and the chime will sound twice to indicate the driver’s door is unlocked
  2. Touch the sensor on the driver side door handle once more and it will unlock all doors. The hazard lights will blink twice and the chime will sound twice to indicate all doors are unlocked
  3. Touch the sensor on the front passenger side door handle to unlock all doors. The hazard lights will blink twice to indicate all doors are unlocked

Reminders:

  • The sensor button will only operate when the Smart Key is within 40 inches from the outside door handle
  • If the outside door sensor button is pressed, the doors will not lock and a chime will sound if any of the following occurs: 1) The smart key is in the vehicle. 2) The Engine Start/Stop button is in the ACC or in the ON position. 3) Any door, except the liftgate, is opened.
