Rear View Monitor (RVM)*

Rear View Monitor displays the area behind the vehicle to assist when parking or backing up. 

Rear View Monitor activates when the Engine Start/Stop button is in the ON position, and the gear shift lever is in the R (Reverse) position. 

RVM activates when the:

If Extended Rear View Monitor is enabled in the settings, RVM will remain on when shifting from R (Reverse) to N (Neutral) or D (Drive), until the vehicle exceeds approximately 6mph, or by pressing the Parking/View button or the gear shift is moved into P (Park). 

If Rear View Parking Guide Lines is enabled, the top view parking guide lines will be displayed.

Quick Tips:

  • Adjusting the Warning Timing and Warning Methods or Volume will adjust settings for the other driver assistance systems

Reminders:

  • Rear View Monitor is not a substitute for proper and safe backing-up procedures 
  • Rear View Monitor may not display every object behind the vehicle
  • Always drive carefully and use caution when backing up
  • Through normal use and after inclement weather or washing, the rear camera may become dirty. Use a clean, microfiber cloth to remove any dirt, debris or spots that may have accumulated on the lens
  • If activated, while the Rear View Monitor is active the volume may be lowered on all audio modes
