Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC)*

While Smart Cruise Control is operating, Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control may help adjust highway vehicle speed to adapt to changing speed limits by using road information from the navigation system.

Highway Curve Zone Auto Slowdown:

When NSCC is on and operating, and the vehicle is driving on limited/ controlled access highways, the NAV icon  will illuminate green on the Instrument Cluster LCD.

To access NSCC settings:

To turn NSCC on, refer to SCC Settings on the previous pages.

When NSCC detects a curve ahead, Highway Curve Zone Auto Slowdown activates and reduces the vehicle speed through the curve. When the vehicle passes the curved road, the vehicle may return to its previously set SCC speed.

Reminders:

  • NSCC requires an active navigation subscription
  • NSCC is only available on certain controlled access roads and highways
  • The navigation part of Smart Cruise Control does not function when a destination is not set on the infotainment navigation system

This feature may not be available on all Kia models. For more setting information, refer to the Car Infotainment System Quick Reference Guide.

NSCC and Cruise Control are supplemental systems and are not substitutes for safe driving. It is the responsibility of the driver to always check the speed and distance to the vehicle ahead.
